FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival
For 32 years, every third weekend, in the month of September, there has only been one place to be. That place is Greenville, MS. MACE (Mississippi Action for Community Education), proudly announces The 33rd Annual Mississippi Delta Blues & Heritage Festival, Saturday, September 18th at Washington County Convention Center. MACE, the host organization for this event invites you to come home to the once largest one day event, now a two day event in the state of Mississippi. On Friday, kick-off the festivities with The Nelson Street Festival. The street that gave birth to the Blues celebrates with a list of performers that brings real Down Home Blues.
The Delta Blues & Heritage festival was created as a celebration of the Mississippi Delta Blues contribution to American Culture. MACE, the parent company of The Delta Arts Project, creator of the Delta Blues Festival, was formed as a way of financing educational programs for preserving the Arts, which led to Blues in the schools, black folks in America- affirming their humanities through the Arts, creating rich expressions, cultural tales of expressions through dance, crafts, and music.
The organizers of the festival always promises a day of fun, excitement, entertainment, art, music, food, and some good down home blues. The Main Stage offers foot stopping performances by Eddie Cuzac, Honey boy Edwards, T-Model Ford, Bobby “Blue” Bland, The Mississippi Blues All-Stars, Bobby Rush, Floyd Taylor, Denise LaSalle, Watermelon Slim, The Kattawar Brothers, Nellie Travis, and many others.
The Juke House Stage gets bigger each year as a crowd favorite. On that stage: performances of Brain Sivils, Virgil “ Big Juv” Brawley, The Mississippi Blues Revue, and others.
There will be vendors serving the best in Barbeque, catfish, hot plates, snowballs, and almost thing else you would like to eat and drink. Always be remindful of the souvenir t-shirts, posters, souvenir journal, caps, and other memorabilia.
